The procedures follow from this. First select all cells of the corresponding worksheet. To do this click the Select All button in the upper left corner where the row and column labels overlap. Or press the keyboard shortcut. Remove Protection Next right-click on any selected cell to open the context menu. From there select Protection tab in the dialog box. Then deactivate the Lock checkbox and apply the settings using the OK button. With this step you have protection that can now cover all cells if sheet protection is activated.
Activate protection for formula cells and select the cell containing the formula. But you don’t have to search for it yourself because there’s support for you. To do this go to the Editing group on the Home tab of the ribbon. There you can click Search and Select and then click Formulas in the Aruba Email List menu that opens. Then use a formula to mark all cells as whole. Now right click again on one of the selected cells and select Format Cells in the context menu. On the Protection tab this time select the Blocked checkbox. Then click OK to exit the dialog box.
Activate worksheet protection So in order for formula cells to take effect you must finally activate worksheet protection. To do this go to the Review tab and click on Protection Sheet in the Protection group. You do not need to change any of the default settings in the following window. This way the contents of the locked cell are protected. Locked and unlocked cells can be selected simultaneously. If required you can add a password here After clicking the OK button you must do this again and then click OK again to close this dialog box. Please note that passwords are case-sensitive. If you then try to overwrite one of the cells that contains the formula you will receive an appropriate message.
